Ask your MP to #SaveAid
It has been announced that the Department for International Development (DFID) will merge with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. This decision will weaken the UK’s ability to transform the lives of the world’s poorest people and ensure that no-one is left behind.
DFID’s work over the last 23 years has ensured that millions of people have been lifted out of poverty. We should all be proud of what it has achieved and this work should continue into the future.
Right now, we need to act to let the government know that we believe aid spending should remain focused on ending poverty and helping vulnerable people.
Send a message to your MP asking them to stand up for DFID and protect the focus and transparency of aid spending, making sure it reaches the people who need it most.
